Job summary

Morrisons is hiring a Manufacturing Butcher - Skilled (Beef) for our abattoir. You will work across the deboning line, preparing primals for trimming and reducing waste, while following strict food safety training to ensure safe, high-quality products.

A chilled environment and PPE are part of daily duties, with opportunities for career progression. You will need previous butchery and knife skills experience, plus the ability to concentrate in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous butchery and knife skills experience.
• Ability to maintain concentration in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in a chilled environment (2–9°C).
• Food Safety Level 2 is desirable, but can be trained at site.
• Must have reached school leaving age.

Responsibilities

• Work on the deboning line to remove small bones from primals of meat.
• Prepare primal for trimming following training in food safety.
• Focus on completing tasks efficiently to reduce waste and downtime.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment for yourself and colleagues.
