Job summary

Morrisons is recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for our abattoir site to perform duties including moving, packing, wrapping, strapping and stacking boxes. The role emphasises safety, with required health and safety training to maintain safe working practices on site.

Ideal candidates can work in a varying temperature environment, wear PPE as needed and comply with site policies. Full compliance with age and health checks will be part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Able to work in an abattoir environment.
• Able to work in temperatures between 2-32 degrees, in a noisy environment requiring hearing protection.
• Able to wear PPE such as chainmail gloves and maintain concentration during repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Move and pack products.
• Wrap, strapping and stack boxes.
• Undertake duties in accordance with health and safety training and site policies.

Job description

We're looking for Manufacturing Operatives at our manufacturing site working in our abattoir, to complete various duties such as moving and packing products, and wrapping, strapping and stacking boxes.

Safety is a top priority, and you'll be required to complete all relevant health and safety training to make sure that the safest work practices are adhered to.

More about you

You'll be the kind of person who:

• Is able to work in an abattoir environment
• Can work in temperatures between 2-32 degrees, and in a noisy environment where hearing protection must be worn
• Is able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as chainmail gloves and maintain concentration when undertaking repetitive work
• Is physically able to lift up to 2.5kg up to a height of 1.7m
• Can complete and comply with relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety and Food Safety
