Job summary

Morrisons Market Street is looking for a skilled butcher to join the fresh counters team. You will cut, bone, dice, mince, and wrap meat to company specs, ensuring high quality for in-store and online shoppers. You'll handle, present, and display meat, maintain safe operations, and deliver friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experienced in cutting, boning, and preparing different meats to a high standard.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and confident using butchery equipment safely.
• Friendly, approachable, and always happy to use your initiative to support customers and answer product queries.
• Willing to help across other Market Street fresh counters to support store colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first: Deliver outstanding, friendly service that highlights our fresh products, preparing custom cuts for in-store and online shoppers alike.
• Prepare quality cuts: Cut, bone, steak, dice, mince, season, and wrap meat primals to exact company specifications using specialist equipment.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh meat counters and pre-packaged displays well-stocked, fresh, and attractive throughout the trading day.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Work safely with specialist tools like knives, saws, and mincing machines, upholding strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.
