Job summary

Guidant Global is seeking a Site Support Engineer for field-based work across the Peterborough region. You will perform PPM and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment, diagnosing faults and delivering exceptional on-site service while representing the company at customer sites.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, field-based or customer-facing experience, and a valid UK driving licence. Ongoing training and a supportive team environment are provided.

The Opportunity We're currently recruiting a Site Support Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Peterborough region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment
• Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador
• Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate
• Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times

About You

We're looking for candidates with a, strong engineering mindset, and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

• Automotive / Vehicle Technician
• HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering
• Agricultural or Military Engineering

You’ll also have

• Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role
• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• A full UK driving licence
