Job summary

Guidant Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support materials handling equipment across the Derby and Nottingham regions. This field-based role offers autonomy, on-site customer interaction, and the chance to maintain high service standards.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, document service reports, and identify upsell opportunities while ensuring health and safety. A hands-on engineer with a solid mechanical and electrical background and a full UK driving

• Solid mechanical fault-finding skills and electrical fault diagnostics.
• Experience delivering field-based service and customer-facing maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with good time management.

The Opportunity

We’re currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Derby & Nottingham regions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We’re looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

• Automotive / Vehicle Technician


• HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering


• Agricultural or Military Engineering

You’ll also have:

• Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills


• Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role


• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule


• A full UK driving licence
