Job summary

Jungheinrich in Warrington is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our customer-focused team supporting the Warrington, Wigan and Preston region. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, diagnose faults and complete service reports, while acting as a company ambassador on-site.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, field-based or customer-facing experience, the ability to manage their own schedule, and a valid UK driving licence.

The Opportunity

We're currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Warrington, Wigan & Preston region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high‑quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment
• Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management

About You

We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

• Automotive / Vehicle Technician
• HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering
• Agricultural or Military Engineering

You'll also have:

• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
