Job summary

Jungheinrich is seeking a Site Engineer to join our field team in Felixstowe. You will perform maintenance and repairs on materials handling equipment, diagnosing faults and delivering high-quality service on customer sites.

The role emphasizes independent work, scheduling, and professional communication with clients. We welcome engineers from automotive, HGV/plant, or agricultural/military backgrounds who are comfortable working in the field with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering mindset with hands-on practical experience.
• Backgrounds on Automotive/Vehicle Technician, HGV/Plant/Forklift, or Agricultural/Military engineering are welcome.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment.
• Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management.
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador.
• Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate.
• Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times.

We're currently recruiting a Site Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting our customers site in Felixstowe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment

About You

We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

You'll also have:

• Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role
