Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. in Leeds seeks a Site Leader/Senior Operations Manager to own the operational metrics, set strategy for the area, and grow a large site team. You’ll coach team leaders and be the key link between finance, safety and operations teams to deliver for customers.

A typical day involves leadership across shifts, deep-diving performance metrics, risk assessment and preparing for varying demand, including peak periods, with mentoring to help managers excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
• Advanced degree, or Bachelor's degree
• Experience in manufacturing, production, distribution logistics environments, retail, or grocery management roles
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational metrics and business performance
• Contribute to planning the operational budget, considering everything from financial and labour planning
• Protect high standards of operational Health and Safety
• Strategic planning for the next three, six and twelve months, with a particular focus on peak-season planning
• Be accountable for operational leadership by measuring performance, offering feedback, and providing development support
