A prestigious main contractor who is experiencing a spell of rapid growth needs an experienced Site Manager for an interesting project in East London with a value of £14m. The successful candidate will ideally be from an engineering background, be technically minded and have delivered as a no. 2 Site Manager on a project of similar scale.
This project is a Cut & Carve, with a full facade replacement and internal & external refurbishment.
Duties
Liaising with various staff and senior stakeholders such as, Project Managers, Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman and Quantity Surveyor;
Manage sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site;
Ensure high standards are up held at all times resulting in a high quality project completed on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety standards;
Planning out weekly work programmes as well as producing weekly reports on the progress of the project;
Attending and chairing weekly team meetings;
Maintaining site records;
Managing and implementing of the Safety Management System.
Ideal Candidate
Engineering Qualifications with a minimum of 2+ years Site Management experience;
Strong IT skills – comfortable on all Microsoft Office Package;
Great interpersonal skills and communication skills;
Process driven and solutions focused;
Proven track record in Commercial / Industrial Projects;
Have excellent commercial awareness.
