Professional & Technical

A prestigious main contractor who is experiencing a spell of rapid growth needs an experienced Site Manager for an interesting project in East London with a value of £14m. The successful candidate will ideally be from an engineering background, be technically minded and have delivered as a no. 2 Site Manager on a project of similar scale.

This project is a Cut & Carve, with a full facade replacement and internal & external refurbishment.

Duties

1. Liaising with various staff and senior stakeholders such as Project Managers, Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman, and Quantity Surveyor;
2. Manage sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site;
3. Ensure high standards are upheld at all times resulting in a high-quality project completed on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety standards;
4. Planning out weekly work programmes as well as producing weekly reports on the progress of the project;
5. Attending and chairing weekly team meetings;
6. Maintaining site records;
7. Managing and implementing the Safety Management System.

Ideal Candidate

1. Engineering Qualifications with a minimum of 2+ years Site Management experience;
2. Strong IT skills – comfortable on all Microsoft Office Package;
3. Great interpersonal and communication skills;
4. Process driven and solutions focused;
5. Proven track record in Commercial / Industrial Projects;
6. Have excellent commercial awareness.
