Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a dynamic Foreman for the Net Zero Teesside project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland. The role focuses on leading health and safety, coordinating temporary works, and ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site.

You will manage direct labour and subcontractors, deliver toolbox talks, and maintain plant and tools, while driving a culture of Right First Time and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work.
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.
• Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours / nights / weekends.
• Holds a current driving licence and CSCS Card and SMSTS.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of managing direct labour and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions.
• Identify hazards and proactively implement actions and controls.
• Ensure all plant and small tools are adequately maintained before use.
• Input into the production and delivery of Task Briefing Sheets and toolbox talks.
• Monitor performance of plant operators and supervise the workforce.
• Carry out Safety & Environment Tours and monitor legislation changes.
• Ensure environmental policies are communicated to the workforce.
• Champion Right First Time within the supply chain.
