Job summary

Balfour Beatty in Redcar is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside NZT project. Based on site, you will support planning and daily execution, coordinating design deliverables and interfacing with the project team.

You will ensure packages align with programme, budget, safety and quality standards, manage submittals and records, and help drive site safety and zero-harm initiatives while using platforms like BIM 360 Field.

Qualifications

• Qualified in B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or have experience in a related field position.
• Extensive experience in Project Engineer, or relevant progressive construction related trade experience.
• High levels of integrity.
• Able to constantly focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Construction Manager and Engineering Manager with planning and daily execution of the construction project.
• Manage submittal approvals, coordinate material delivery, and maintain schedules and budgets.
• Ensure packages meet programme, budget, safety and quality standards.
• Maintain records per the mechanical control sheet, including RFIs, FCDs, ITPs and drawings.
• Support QA by site tours and quality check-sheets.
• Contribute to safe work practices and zero-harm initiative.
