Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Senior Engineering Manager for the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project, based at our Redcar site. You will lead, coordinate and deliver multi-discipline design and engineering work, with responsibility for team development, risk management and timely, budget-conscious delivery.

You will maintain strong client and partner relationships, drive design quality, and align with project strategy while ensuring buildable documentation and compliant technical inputs

Qualifications

Chartered engineer status or equivalent is expected.
Proven leadership and communication skills under time pressure.
Experience managing multi-discipline engineering in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage BBK engineering for NZT at Teesside.
Line-manage design/engineering teams and coordinate external SMEs.
Develop engineering strategy, design and quality plans.
Oversee work packs, risk management and programme delivery.
