Job summary

Balfour Beatty is recruiting a dynamic Construction Manager for the Net Zero Teesside project based at Redcar, Cleveland. You will take ownership of reinforced concrete works, manage site teams and subcontractors, uphold safety, and drive programme delivery.

Role requires proven construction management experience, leadership, effective communication, and a focus on safety and sustainability. CSCS card is required; APMP and Lean qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous Construction Management experience within the relevant industry.
• Efficient planning and organisation to deliver operational excellence.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage teams and subcontractors.
• Financial awareness to meet targets and manage costs.
• CSCS card is required to work on site.
• APMP and lean construction qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver sections of works to time, cost and quality targets.
• Ensure safety targets and standards are met and lead safety culture on site.
• Coordinate with design, planning and QS teams to maintain schedule and budgets.
• Manage Sub Contractors, monitor attendance and progress, and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Engage with customers to understand sustainability objectives and communicate progress.
