Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Site Engineer (Nights) for the Net Zero Teesside project at Redcar, delivering civil and construction works with a focus on setting out, surveying and technical coordination.

You will read drawings, manage RAMS and permits, and support the delivery team with progress updates, quality records and problem solving. The role requires reading and interpreting complex specifications and ensuring safe, efficient site delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Site Engineer role or similar building/civil site position.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, permits and schedules.
• Understanding RAMS, Permit to Dig, inspection and test plans and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil and construction works, setting out and surveying.
• Coordinate with delivery teams, monitor drawings and progress against IT plans.
• Maintain quality records, progress updates and material reconciliations.
• Support safety and environmental controls and permit systems.
• Provide early input on constructability and site constraints.
