Job summary

A leading construction company in Cardiff is looking for a Site Engineer to support water projects across South Wales. Ideal candidates will have proven civil engineering experience and excellent communication skills. You will ensure projects are executed safely and to high standards while maintaining quality control. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in civil engineering works and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction.
  • Contribute to achieving the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
  • Ensure that works are properly resourced, supervised, and carried out in line with drawings and specifications.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem‑solving and drive continuous improvement in methods and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records, survey data, and reports to support commercial and delivery teams.

Job Purpose

As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the site delivery team, ensuring works are set out accurately, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll monitor progress, test workmanship, and help drive continuous improvement so that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
