Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a Housing Officer within the Housing Operations service to provide a comprehensive tenancy management service across Milton Keynes.

You will guide residents on tenancy rights, manage complex tenancy matters and respond to issues such as anti-social behaviour, fraud, and tenancy sustainment. This role requires strong housing management expertise and empathetic, professional standards.

Formación

• Professional housing management knowledge or substantial relevant experience handling complex tenancy issues.
• Qualified to CIH Level 3 or equivalent housing management experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for site visits.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver a comprehensive tenancy management service including sign-ups, exchanges, changes and introductory tenancies.
• Investigate occupancy, property condition, tenancy breaches, safeguarding, fraud or unlawful subletting.
• Manage anti-social behaviour and housing fraud with proportionate intervention and enforcement.
• Support residents with complex needs using a person-centred approach and coordinating multi-agency meetings.
• Assess and manage risk, gather evidence, prepare legal cases and represent the council in court when required.
• Build relationships with residents, councillors, police and partner organisations to improve neighbourhoods.
