Job summary

Naomi and Jack's in Blandford Forum is seeking a Shop Manager to lead our busy charity shop and drive excellent customer experiences. You will manage a small team of staff and volunteers, maintain stock, and ensure high standards of service while supporting the charity's vital work in the south of England.

The role is part-time, 21 hours per week over three days, with some weekend shifts. The hourly rate is £14.05. Eligible to work in the UK is required.

Every purchase in our charity shops helps Naomi and Jack's provide expert care and support to children, young adults and families across the South of England.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated

Shop Manager to lead our Blandford store. If you're passionate about retail, enjoy leading people and love delivering great customer experiences, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Whether you're already a Shop Manager or looking to progress from an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or Supervisor role, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Shop Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of our busy charity shop
  • Inspiring, supporting and developing a team of staff and volunteers
  • Creating an attractive and welcoming shopping environment
  • Maximising sales and profit through excellent merchandising and stock management
  • Building relationships within the local community
  • Managing shop administration, financial controls and banking procedures
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance

You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, drive performance and help grow the shop's contribution to Naomi and Jack's vital work.

What we're looking for
  • An experienced retailer with supervisory or management experience
  • A confident leader who enjoys motivating and developing others
  • Passionate about delivering first-class customer service
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware
  • Comfortable managing stock, sales and shop operations
  • A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic about supporting the work of Naomi and Jack's

Experience within charity retail would be preferable but not essential.
