Job summary

Five Guys in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Manager to support the General and Assistant Managers, lead the team on the line and dining area, and uphold Five Guys standards to ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

You will motivate and coach the crew, manage shifts including evenings and weekends, and ensure food safety and high hygiene standards across each service. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: at least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction and team engagement.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Ability to manage a busy shift while maintaining standard procedures.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on the line and dining area.
• Support the General Manager in delivering high-quality burgers and fries and an exceptional guest experience.
• Create a positive, energetic working environment aligned with the company values.
• Ensure every customer is delighted with their order and resolve complaints promptly.
• Ensure smooth shift operations and adherence to standards.
