Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is recruiting for a hands-on engineer at our Preston site to maintain and service production equipment across corrugators and packaging lines.

You will work on conveyors, palletisers, strappers, wrappers, print units and cutting units, fault finding PLCs, and ensure health and safety compliance while supporting preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engineer required.
• Experience with PLCs and automated machinery.
• Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain corrugators and associated packaging lines.
• Service material handling conveyors: palletisers, strappers, wrappers.
• Oversee box converting lines with print, cut, stacking and folding units.
• Fault find and diagnose PLC related issues.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and perform preventative maintenance.

You will have served a minimum of ideally a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working on conveyors, inverters, drives, sensors, plastics or insulation machines, packaging machines, motors, print units, cutting units, stacking, and folding machines.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for all production equipment including compliance with Health & Safety policies are met and any maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards. There is a huge scope and variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
