Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd in Leicester is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK food manufacturer. You will join a large, long-established team and be responsible for all aspects of engineering and maintenance to maximise machine efficiencies within a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Experience with PPM systems, packaging machinery, PLCs, presses, ovens, printing units, gearboxes and pumps is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained Engineer
• Experience in an FMCG environment
• Understanding of PPM Systems

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, utilising a PPM system.
• Experience with PLC systems and packaging machinery is advantageous; able to work on packaging machinery, presses, ovens, printing units, gearboxes, pumps and other manufacturing machinery.

Salary: £55,028 + Pension + Benefits

Location: Leicester

Shift Pattern - 2 Different Shifts Available

Option A

• Continentals 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off (7 till 7)

Option B

• Wk 1 Monday to Friday 07:00 to 19:00,
• Wk 2 Sunday to Thursday 19:00 to 07:00,
• Wk 3 off,
• Week 4 Monday to Friday 07:00 to 19:00,
• Week 5 Tuesday to Saturday 19:00 to 07:00
• Week 6 off

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer but multi-skilled and have fast moving manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, utilising a PPM system. If you have worked on PLC systems and packaging machinery it would be advantageous. Also, able, and willing to work on packaging machinery, presses, ovens, printing units, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably
