Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a site in Redditch. You will maintain and improve fast-moving automated manufacturing lines, driving reliability and efficiency across machinery.

The role requires an apprentice-trained mechanical or electrical engineer with experience in packaging/wrapping equipment and PLC systems, plus ability to work independently. Training and development are emphasised, with an attractive salary package.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engineer in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with fast-moving automated machinery.
• Good knowledge of preventative maintenance (PPM) systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities to high standards and maximizing machine efficiencies.
• Work on gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other manufacturing machinery; experience with packaging & wrapping machinery and PLC systems is advantageous.

Location: Redditch

Salary: £53,943 + Pension + Bonus + Overtime

Shift Pattern:

• Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday – 6pm to 6am (36 hours)
• Week 2: Saturday to Tuesday – 6pm-6am (48 hours)

They have manufacturing facilities across Europe and are a secure and supportive organisation. They are currently looking to expand the engineering maintenance capacity on site, within this automated manufacturing site.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer but multi-skilled and have fast moving manufacturing experience. If you have worked on process packaging & wrapping machinery with PLC systems, it would be advantageous. Also, able and willing to work on gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, general mechanical work and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
