Job summary

The Malone Hotel in Belfast is seeking a confident Duty Manager to lead hotel operations during shifts, with a focus on Front Office and Food & Beverage. This guest-facing role ensures smooth arrivals and departures, supports breakfast, bar and event services, and resolves issues quickly with clear team communication.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, and will collaborate with department managers to maintain high standards

Responsibilities

• Lead on shift to ensure smooth front office and F&B operations.
• Maintain a visible presence in reception, lobby and guest areas.
• Complete start-of-shift briefings covering occupancy, arrivals and VIPs.
• Handle guest complaints and escalate matters within delegated authority.
• Provide guidance to reception on service recovery and upselling.
• Record duty logs and handovers for the incoming Duty Manager.
