Tesco is hiring a Shift Lead to help run our store with energy and care. You’ll lead the team to deliver a great in-store experience for customers, work across all areas, and be the go-to person for day-to-day queries.

You’ll coach colleagues, communicate clearly, and show a natural leadership style, especially when the Manager is away. We value flexibility, inclusivity, and a commitment to great service and community impact.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old.
• Experience in team lead or management in fast-paced retail.
• Strong role model with passion for delivering great service and meeting customer needs.
• Build positive, long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
• Clear communicator using multiple methods to keep the team informed.
• Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
