Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise store teams, deliver excellent customer service, and run daily operations within set availability windows. You will lead across all store areas, coach colleagues, and act as the on-shift leader in the manager’s absence, while building positive, inclusive relationships and promoting Tesco values.

Qualifications

Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
Build positive, long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
Work across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
