Job summary

One Stop in Hinckley and Bosworth is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily store operations and lead a small team in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will open and close the store, manage duty shifts, coach colleagues, uphold health and safety standards, and ensure the store is clean, well presented and ready to serve customers. Your proactive approach will help deliver great service and support the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail shift and coordinating a small team.
• Excellent customer service focus and ability to coach on the job.
• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures and store standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Opening/closing the store and completing duty cover, ensuring decisions are right for customers and safety.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day operational queries.
• Support the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
• Make sure the store is clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of customer-focused products and reflect prices correctly.
• Actively manage queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers.
• Ensure staff coverage and allocate breaks around trade patterns.
• Be a recognised Keyholder for the store and attend alarm calls when needed.
