Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd in Kesgrave is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to run duty shifts, coordinate a team and ensure a clean, fully stocked store that delivers great value and service to customers in Kesgrave.

You will own store operations, coach colleagues, help manage safety, and act as a keyholder, working closely with the Store Manager and Area Manager to drive improvements and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open/close the store and complete duty cover with safety in mind.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues when Store Manager is unavailable.
• Support the Store Manager in coordinating seasonal, community and charity events.
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of high-demand products for customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf labels reflect price and planogram accuracy.
• Respond quickly to overcharges and prevent recurrences.
• Proactively manage queues to provide smooth shopping experiences.
• Coordinate colleagues to deliver daily priorities and schedule breaks appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with the team and keep them informed.
• Share ideas to simplify operations with the Store Manager.
• Maintain customer-first service and resolve queries promptly.
• Escalate issues to the Store Manager when needed and find cover for shifts.
