Job summary

Mary Rush Care Ltd. is seeking a Shift Leader for Crate Wood Wharf in London. You’ll be on the floor and behind the bar, ensuring smooth service and supporting the team to do their best work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading shifts or supervising in a busy bar, pub or restaurant.
• Ability to handle a complaint or difficult guest confidently.
• Interest in beer and drinks, with willingness to learn the range.

Responsibilities

• Bar service and greeting guests at the bar.
• Guide guests through menu and make recommendations.
• Run pizzas to tables in good time.
• Handle questions and complaints, including when a manager isn’t on site.
• Be an ambassador for Crate Wood Wharf on site.
• Oversee service to ensure smooth flow with right staff in the right roles.
• Escalate issues like staff disputes or quality concerns.
• Maintain venue appearance (layout, lighting, music, temperature).
• Open/close procedures, including paperwork and End of Day reports.
