Job summary

Starbucks is seeking an assistant manager to lead shifts, focus on commercial results, and deliver world-class customer experience. You will own KPIs, coach partners, and ensure brand standards at store level. Training and development are integral as you drive initiatives and manage operations.

Successful candidates will have prior leadership in retail or hospitality, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate metrics into action while balancing people and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus on commercial results and customer experience.
• Own KPIs such as labour efficiency, waste, and sales performance.
• Schedule shifts to meet planned roles and routines while optimising the customer journey.
• Coach partners, provide feedback, and recognise achievements.
• Act as duty manager when scheduled; be accountable for operations and decisions.
• Ensure brand and operational standards are consistently met or exceeded.
• Use financial data to inform decisions that improve shift performance.
• Lead and embed new initiatives and product launches at store level.
• Deliver training to partners to ensure quality, efficiency and service excellence.
