Job summary

Rehlko in Walkden (near Manchester) seeks an experienced Shift Generator Engineer to service, maintain and repair our diesel generator fleet. Working 4 on, 4 off, depot-based with occasional site work across the North West; a company van is provided when required.

You will ensure reliability, safety and availability for customers through routine servicing, fault finding and more complex repairs. Ideal candidates have proven diesel generator experience, strong mechanical and electrical

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with diesel generators or similar mechanical and electrical plant.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, planned maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to confidently diagnose faults and initiate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair of diesel generators across the fleet.
• Maintain and repair generators returning to the Walkden depot from hire.
• Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance to maximise reliability.
• Inspect generators returning from hire and identify needed repairs or remedial work.
• Prepare and inspect generators before deployment back to customer sites.
