Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Shift Engineer to maintain and service diesel generators (20–1500kVA) across the region. You will diagnose faults, perform breakdown repairs, and support mobile engineers on a 4-on/4-off rota, using a company vehicle when required.

Key requirements include NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, hands-on generator experience, and a full UK driving licence. You will work with Coordinators to ensure smooth handovers and maintain accurate job records.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or time-served) in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with generators (20–1500kVA) is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) – towing experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on diesel generators.
• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs.
• 12 hours per shift on a 4 on / 4 off rota.
• Support mobile engineers in the field using a company vehicle.
• Work closely with Coordinators to ensure smooth scheduling and handovers.
• Collect parts from local suppliers and maintain job records in-house systems.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
