Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Shift Engineer to maintain and repair diesel generators (20–1500kVA) across the region. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support mobile engineers on site in Walkden.

A 12-hour shift pattern (4 on/4 off) applies, with a company vehicle and full health and safety adherence. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical discipline, strong fault-finding aptitude, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or time-served) in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Strong fault-finding skills with diesel generators.
• Ability to work in a team and unsupervised as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on diesel generators (20–1500kVA).
• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs.
• 12 hours per shift on a 4 on/4 off rota; support mobile engineers as needed.
