Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an electrical biased Shift Engineer to join a leading food manufacturer experiencing growth with UK supermarkets. You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance on high-speed production and packaging lines, working across control panels, HMIs, PLCs and SCADA systems.

The role requires multi-skilled capabilities, NVQ Level 3 minimum (ideally HNC/HND), and prior experience in fast-paced FMCG environments.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias.
• NVQ Level 3 in engineering or maintenance.
• HNC/HND qualification desirable.
• Experience in fast-paced FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical problem solving.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automation and control systems (HMI/SCADA).
• Experience with motors, inverters, VSDs, sensors, pneumatics, gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on high-speed production and packaging machinery.
• Work on control panels, HMIs, PLCs, SCADA systems.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Deal with motors, VSDs, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts and inverters.
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting and welding.

Do you want to work for a leading food manufacturers that is going through a lot of progressive growth with the UK's supermarkets. Due to expansion within the team, they are looking for an electrical biased shift engineer to join.

Role & responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:

• Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery
• Working on control panels, HMi's, PLC's, SCADA Systems
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
• Dealing with motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding

Knowledge, skills & experience need to be a Shift Engineer:

• Multi skilled engineer - ideally electrically biased
• NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimum
• Ideally HNC / HND qualified
• Must have worked in some form of fast-paced / FMCG manufacturing industry
• Strong electrical & mechanical problem solving skills
• Knowledge of PLC's, automation & control systems, HMi's
• Worked on motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
