Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer with a mechanical bias to maintain production, processing and packaging machinery on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern that offers 90 days off per year.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience with industrial machinery, NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3+ and be proficient with SAP/CMMS. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs is advantageous; welding/fabrication skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer, with a mechanical biased.
• Must have experience of working on industrial production, processing & packaging machinery.
• At least 5 years' experience outside of apprenticeship.
• Ideally have completed a formal apprenticeship scheme.
• NVQ or City Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher.
• Must be happy working a rotating shift pattern, with holidays built into a yearly rota.
• Computer literate - able to use SAP systems / CMMS.
• Experience of working on hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, control panels, gearboxes.
• Beneficial if able to do welding, fabrication and fitting work.
• Passionate about reliability engineering, continuous improvements, asset care management.

Responsibilities

Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.

Role & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:
