Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Ward Clerk for the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The role is Band 3, full-time 37.5 hours per week with day and night shifts (07:30–19:30 and 19:30–07:30).

You will provide administration support, greet patients, input data into the EPR, and maintain confidentiality. The post involves high-quality reception and data entry, excellent customer care, and participation in training and professional

Qualifications

• Education - GCSE English or equivalent.
• Education - Recognised IT qualification.
• Experience - NHS experience or customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Reception of patients, relatives and carers in a calm, professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer care with a caring and responsive approach.
• Record and input information into the Trust's EPR system accurately and promptly.
• File departmental records and protect patient confidentiality.
• Handle general enquiries and direct them to the correct department.
• Work as part of the SEU team to cover peak workloads when needed.
