Job summary

Northumbria Specialist Emergency Hospital in Cramlington seeks a part-time ward clerk to join Medicine & Emergency Care. You will provide day-to-day admin support on the wards, including reception duties, data input to PAS and Nervecentre, and handling post.

The post requires 33 hours per week across a 7-day rota, with pro rata salary. NHS experience and strong IT skills are advantageous. The organisation offers flexible working and a commitment to staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• ECDL or equivalent IT literacy is required.
• NVQ Customer Care or equivalent relevant qualification.
• NHS experience is desirable and helpful for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin support on wards, including admissions and transfers.
• Undertake reception duties for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Input data onto PAS and Nervecentre systems and manage post.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional communication.
