Job description

Working within London Heathrow Airport, the Service Technician will be performing maintenance duties to ensure productivity and output, equipment availability, health & safety compliance and quality. You will be performing the following tasks:

• Responsible for performing malfunction and maintenance work as well as carrying out preventive and periodic maintenance, in collaboration with colleagues.
• Resolving mechanical, electrical and any control technical faults

Qualifications

• Possession of a City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.

Physical Requirements

• Walking and mobility: Extensive walking, including navigating various levels of the baggage systems and working at heights. Comfortable for prolonged periods of walking and standing.
• Heavy lifting: Lifting and moving heavy objects up to 75kg. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must always be followed.
• Restrictive spaces: Work frequently in tight areas. Must be able to work comfortably in restrictive spaces and follow all safety guidelines.
• Noise levels: Work environment may have high noise levels. Appropriate PPE will be provided, and adherence to safety regulations concerning noise exposure is mandatory.

Any pre-existing medical history that may affect your ability to perform the duties of the role must be considered when applying.

Nice to have

• 18th Edition (BS 7671 / wiring regulations)
• Experience within an FMCG manufacturing or automated environment.
• Experience in training/coaching.
