Job description
Overview

We are recruiting a Service Manager to provide effective leadership and management of mental health services in conjunction with health colleagues. The role is responsible for the delivery of mental health services as part of the S75 agreement with health partners and for leading service development in response to new government initiatives and guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage mental health services, ensuring they meet relevant quality standards and are responsive, inclusive, personalised, outcome‑focused and promote independence.
  • Deliver services in an inclusive and person‑centred manner, promoting choice, control and independence for people with care and support needs and carers.
  • Contribute to the overall development of service provision in response to new government initiatives, guidance and legislation.
Qualifications
  • Significant knowledge and experience of working within mental health services and must have an Approved Mental Health Practitioner qualification.
  • Experience of managing large operational services within health or social care services, managing complex budgets and maintaining services while adhering to tight financial targets.
  • Adaptable to change, committed to delivering personalised outcomes and experience in multi‑/cross‑agency working at management level and working with ethnically diverse teams and clients.
  • Professional qualification in a health or social care discipline and current registration with the relevant professional body as well as be an approved Mental Health practitioner.
  • Evidence of personal development and commitment to learning.
