A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join Birmingham City Council's expanding Private Rented Sector Property Licensing Team. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead on compliance and enforcement for the department.Birmingham is an interesting and unique place to work with excellent opportunities for professional development created by the challenging, fast-paced and varied workload. You will be responsible for a driven and dynamic team.
The successful candidate will manage a large team of Investigators, Team Leaders and Enforcement Officers undertaking investigations, conducting inspections, and enforcing housing legislation to deliver the aims and objectives of the Licensing Regime. This is a leadership position requiring strategic and operational experience and expertise in housing law, general enforcement and public health. The role is based at the Regulation and Enforcement Offices in Birmingham. This is an office-based role; you will be expected to travel around the city for which you will be remunerated for the use of your car.
