This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the busiest and fast paced environments within the Trust as Service Manager for Emergency and Acute Medicine at our Bedford site. Working as part of a large diverse multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will be a core member of the operational and tactical team, supporting the delivery of urgent and emergency care across the Emergency Department and Acute wards. There will also be opportunities to work on key service developments and support the development and delivery of strategic plans for the services.
The Service Manager for Emergency and Acute clinical service lines has responsibility for managing all aspects of operational delivery within the relevant sub-division of a clinical specialty to agreed quality standards and within the resource and income base available in a large Clinical Specialty. To ensure that service delivery standards are achieved.

All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering their first six months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required.
