Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting are seeking an experienced managerial professional in Agriculture/Construction or capital equipment to join as Service Manager for a large supplier of construction and agricultural machinery. Based in West Sussex, you will take full responsibility for the productivity and effectiveness of the service engineers and manage the service department across the region.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will motivate the engineering workforce, plan resources and targets,

Qualifications

• Experience in Agriculture or Construction is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in other capital equipment with a technical slant and a strong customer focus.
• Able to communicate at board level and relate well to engineers and customers.

Alexander James Recruiting are currently seeking an experienced managerial professional from within Agriculture/Construction or another capital equipment industry to work as a Service Manager for a large supplier of construction and agricultural machinery. Based in West Sussex, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the productivity and effectiveness of the service engineers and will manage them effectively in order to ensure the smooth running of the service department across the region. The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, your main purpose will be to effectively motivate the engineering workforce across your specified region through effective planning and resource management. Working to region targets, you will take responsibility for customer relations and departmental profitability. The company requires a professional individual able to effectively communicate well with clients and manage their expectations effectively. For this reason, the candidate does not necessarily have to have a background within the specified industry or even in service but must have a strong customer service approach.

Requirements

• Experience in either Agriculture or Construction is desirable but not essential
• Experience in other capital equipment with a technical slant and a strong customer focus
• Highly professional individual able to communicate at board level and also relate well to engineers and customers
• Able to work well on own initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Good overall Customer Service understanding
