Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Service Manager for a large supplier of construction and agricultural machinery based in West Sussex. You will lead a regional service team, optimize productivity, and drive profitable service delivery while managing customer expectations.

The role reports to the Branch Manager and emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and effective resource management to sustain growth and high service standards across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agriculture or Construction is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in other capital equipment with a technical slant and a strong customer focus.
• Ability to communicate at board level and relate to engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Motivate the engineering workforce across the region through planning and resource management.
• Manage service engineers to ensure smooth region-wide service operations.
• Achieve region targets while maintaining customer relations and departmental profitability.
