Job summary

Methods, a UK-based IT Services Consultancy, is hiring a Service Desk Analyst to provide hands-on first- and second-line support for Linux (RHEL) and macOS across enterprise environments. You will diagnose and resolve OS, application, hardware, and network issues, and help users with access, authentication, and device configuration.

The role offers the chance to work within a security-conscious, government-facing context and to grow expertise in MDM platforms such as Intune and Jamf.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Desk or technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Linux and macOS in an enterprise environment.
• Strong networking and security knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritise incidents and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line support for Linux and macOS users.
• Diagnose OS, application, hardware, network and access issues.
• Manage incidents and document resolutions.
• Support device enrollment, authentication, permissions and security controls.
• Assist with software installation, patching and OS updates.
• MDM/Intune/Jamf management tasks as required.
