Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an IT Support / Service Desk Analyst in Surrey. This role involves providing first-line support to users with a strong emphasis on communication and user reassurance. Ideal candidates will have experience in IT support, be calm under pressure, and possess basic desktop support skills. Immediate availability is preferred. The position is contracted for 6 months and operates inside IR35, aiming to ensure exceptional user experience and collaborative team support.

Overview

We are currently looking for a personable and proactive Service Desk Analyst to join a dynamic team. This role focuses heavily on user communication, providing reassurance, and delivering first‑line support. This position prioritises excellent communication skills, calmness under pressure, and a hands‑on approach to resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary IT support contact for remote business users.
  • Monitor and respond to support requests through chat and other communication channels.
  • Provide clear, calm communication and reassurance while troubleshooting user issues.
  • Perform basic desktop and application support tasks.
  • Escalate more complex issues and assist in managing applications during incidents.
  • Actively engage with users, follow up on support tickets, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Work cohesively onsite with the existing IT team to support operational stability.
