Job summary

British Red Cross is seeking a Service Coordinator for Assisted Discharge in East Sussex. You will lead a team of staff and volunteers, coordinating hospital referrals to home-based care and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and with kindness.

The role requires experience in people management, strong communication, IT literacy and flexibility to work evenings and on-call. The 17.5-hour week is on a 6-month fixed-term contract with pro-rata salary that fits UK market norms.

Service Coordinator - Assisted Discharge

Location: East Sussex

Salary: £25,541 to £27,200 per annum, pro rata

Hours: 17.5 per week

Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Additional Requirement: Applicants must have a full licence (2 years) and access to a vehicle.

As a Service Coordinator, you’ll be the vital link between hospital referrals and care at home. What will a day in the life of a Service Coordinator involve?
