Service Charge Accountant - OUR CLIENT

Our client is a property management firm with over 25 years of experience, managing a portfolio that includes residential and commercial properties, from mansion blocks to mixed‑use sites. With new business, they are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to collaborate with the Accounts Team, Property Managers, and clients to ensure new properties’ finances are current and handovers complete.

Role Requirements
  • Responsible for preparing year‑end complex service charge accounts for a mainly residential portfolio and some commercial properties.
  • First point of contact for clients regarding the handover of new properties, following up on outstanding queries.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Approve invoices on the property system.
  • Handle day‑to‑day client queries.
  • Assist with the management of accounts receivable, payable and credit control functions.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day bank balances and monthly bank‑reconciliation process.
  • Raise quarterly management fees.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
Person and Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of the property sector.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems such as QUBE, TRAMPS, or PROPMAN.
  • Service charge account preparation experience.
  • Willingness to work five days in the office initially, then one day WFH.
