Job summary

Arnold Clark is recruiting a Service Advisor for our Renault/Dacia branch in Preston. You will deliver a superb service experience for customers and coordinate repairs with the workshop.

We are looking for an articulate, friendly communicator with a passion for customer service and a full UK driving licence. This is a full-time role with hours Mon-Fri 8am–5.30pm and alternate Saturdays, offering opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Proficient with computer systems and IT applications.
• Able to multi-task in a busy service environment.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to explain information clearly.
• Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and workshop flow.
• Ability to prioritise workload and follow defined processes.
• Willingness to work within standard procedures and guidelines.
• Good administration to capture customer details accurately.
• Possess a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer requirements for service and vehicle repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Liaise with workshop and bodyshop to progress work through the system.
• Manage computer-based jobs, purchases and invoicing with focus on customer and company interests.
• Inform customers of faults or repairs with clear, accurate solutions.
• Treat dissatisfied customers with empathy and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate customer records, vehicle details and service histories.
• Maintain knowledge of aftersales products and services and upsell where appropriate.
• Keep the customer database updated and accurate.
