Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD seeks an experienced Service Advisor / Estimator for a busy independent automotive workshop in the Hastings area. You will be the main link between customers and workshop, preparing accurate estimates, booking vehicles, and updating clients throughout repair work.

Qualifications

• Solid background as Service Advisor or Estimator within automotive garage or workshop.

• Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 basic per annum (dependent on automotive background and experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (NO WEEKENDS) — Flexible full-time or part-time schedules considered for the right candidate.

Role Overview

Due to rapid business growth, we are seeking an experienced Service Advisor / Estimator to join our front-of-house team.

In this fast-paced role, you will be the vital link between our customers and workshop technicians. You will handle customer inquiries, build precise repair estimates, book in vehicles, manage job flow, and ensure our clients receive prompt, accurate updates every step of the way.

Requirements

• Automotive Experience: Solid background as a Service Advisor, Workshop Assistant, Parts Advisor, or Estimator within an automotive garage or main dealership.
• Technical Understanding: Sound knowledge of light vehicle servicing, MOT processes, and mechanical repair terminology to prepare accurate job estimates.
• Communication & Admin Skills: Friendly, professional phone manner with efficient IT and vehicle management system skills.
• Drive & Multi-tasking: Ability to stay organized, manage high inquiry volumes, and handle customer interactions under busy workshop conditions.
• Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
