Job summary

5 Star Family Garage in Croydon is seeking an experienced Service Advisor / Automotive Aftersales Specialist from a franchised main dealer or independent garage background. You will manage the end-to-end customer journey, keeping the workshop productive while building long-term customer trust.

Base salary starts at £40,000 with structured increments as you develop; hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, NO WEEKENDS – True Work-Life Balance; generous holiday allowance, pension, on-site

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor within a main dealer or independent garage environment.
• Customer-first mindset with focus on road safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to attend coaching courses and develop skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle the end-to-end customer journey from inquiry to securing 5-star reviews.
• Keep the workshop diary full, organized, and running efficiently.
• Produce accurate repair estimates and process electronic safety inspection reports.
• Liaise daily with Front of House and Workshop Managers for smooth job progression.

• Produce accurate repair estimates and process electronic safety inspection reports with extreme attention to detail.
• Liaise daily with Front of House and Workshop Managers to ensure seamless communication and smooth job progression.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor / Vehicle Aftersales Specialist within a main dealer or independent garage environment (experience with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VAG, or JLR is highly advantageous).
• A customer-first mindset with a passion for road safety rather than hard-selling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Eagerness to attend coaching courses and continuously develop your skill set.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Base: Shirley / Croydon area (Free secure on-site parking).
• Road Links: Strategically situated with direct links via the A232, A23, and M25, providing fast commutes across South London and Surrey.
