Midlands Truck & Van is seeking a Service Advisor at the Wellingborough Depot. You will greet customers, log vehicle details, and prepare repair quotations while coordinating with the workshop and customers to ensure smooth service delivery.

The role requires strong communication skills, IT proficiency, and a team-oriented approach. Experience in automotive customer service is desirable and you will be supported by a benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing role within automotive or retail is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal software for bookings/statements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional approach.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Check in vehicles and enter customer/vehicle data into internal systems.
• Create quotations for repairs/works to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Arrange vehicle pickup details with customers (date, time, method, location).
• Monitor repair status and update customers on progress.
• Explain repair/work details to workshop team to ensure clear handovers.
• Perform vehicle inspections before/after works and assist with admin duties.

We are currently recruiting for a Service Advisor at our Wellingborough Depot.

As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for:

• Greeting customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner
• Checking in vehicles, including entering customer and vehicle information on internal software
• Creating quotations for customer on repairs and works, ensuring the customer is happy
• Arranging vehicle pick up date, time method and location with the customer
• Monitoring repair and works status, keeping the customer up to date
• Explaining and handing over the repair and work details to the workshop team
• Performing visual inspections of vehicles before and after any works conducted
• To undertake general administrative duties to ensure the smooth flow of work within the Customer Service and Workshop teams

As a Service Advisor, you will have the following:

• Experience in the automotive sector desirable
• Experience in a customer contact and customer support position
• General IT Skills including Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoy working in a team environment
